Electrical Endoscopy Mass Detection (EEMD)
Endoscopes
Information
Differentiating between healthy tissues and cancerous or pre-cancerous
tissues that require further examination through sampling or excision is
possible using the EEMD device with higher accuracy than conventional
methods. The results of this device evaluates the changes in the dielectric
properties of cells as a result of their pathophysiological changes during
cancerous growth, including the increase in cell size, the permeability of
the cell membrane, changes in the water content inside the cell, etc.
In the standard endoscopy process, based on the skill and experience of the
endoscopist, it is decided whether to take a sample for pathology diagnosis
or not that In some cases, this decision only results in more costs for the
patient, and in some cases, the lack of sampling causes the cancer to not be
diagnosed in the early stages. This device helps the sampling to be correct
and timely with 94% accuracy.
