For nearly 100 years, the American Heart Association has been fighting heart disease and stroke and helping families and communities thrive, making a difference in the US and beyond. Since 1949, we have invested more than $5 billion in research funding, sharing science across borders, contributing to breakthroughs in cardiovascular and stroke care. Our funding has contributed to countless innovation and discovery, including the funding for 15 Nobel Prize Winners.
We collaborate with over 200 sister societies and bring our quality improvement science and programs to more than 100 countries, improving resuscitation, cardiovascular and stroke care for patients.
Our mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. As we move into the second century of our work, we are advancing health and hope for everyone, everywhere.
