The prevalence of diffuse liver disease is increasing globally and is now a worldwide problem. In addition to alcohol abuse or chronic hepatitis, other causes, such as metabolic syndrome or liver-related conditions, are emerging. The wide variety of these causes and their impact on the liver require the combination of conventional ultrasound with dedicated techniques to deliver appropriate patient staging. Our innovative, improved Ultrasound technology provides a comprehensive set of Liver technologies designed to support clinicians in dealing with MASLD (Metabolic-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease), the leading cause of Liver disease globally.

This workshop will discuss a simple, noninvasive, accurate liver assessment that can be integrated into an abdominal ultrasound in less than a minute. We will review the use and diagnostic performance of techniques such as elastography for fibrosis and attenuation imaging for steatosis, including the last updates. This provides robust, reproducible data that can be correlated to Liver Function tests and other clinical markers to provide integrated patient diagnostics for liver disease. Learning Objectives;1. Get practical tips from the examples discussed to increase your diagnostic confidence.”

2. We will learn how to evaluate multiple aspects of diffuse liver disease using ultrasound imaging techniques on Canon Medical devices.
