EPROB Robotic Arm for Brain Surgery
Other
Information
The "EPROB Robotic Arm for Brain Surgery" is a three-dimensional positioning assistance system designed for neurosurgery. By combining intelligent medical imaging software with a precise robotic arm, this system enables minimally invasive surgery with smaller incisions and faster recovery. EPROB also enhances surgical accuracy, safety, and success rates, achieving the effectiveness of minimally invasive procedures.
This system integrates medical imaging (such as CT and MRI) of the surgical area, allowing surgical instruments to perform precise procedures like blood clot evacuation, tumor removal, and brain tissue biopsy through small incisions. The system reduces the probability of human-induced movement errors and avoids contact with critical areas by following pre-planned surgical pathways, minimizing damage to normal tissues.
Compared to traditional navigation-assisted surgeries, it also saves post surgical treatment time.
APPLICATIONS
Robot-assisted Intracerebral Hemorrhage Clot Evacuation (ICH)
Assisting doctors in targeting and draining the risky areas in the brain to prevent patients from undergoing severe brain damage and complications in the future.
Fully Guided Biopsy Procedures
Assisting doctors to diagnose cancer earlier with more precise therapeutic measures.
External Ventricular Drain (EVD)
Assisting doctors in EVD procedures and treatment to achieve minimally invasive surgeries.
Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson’s Disease (DBS)
Assisting doctors in DBS procedures and treatment for Parkinson disease, by helping them place electric-stimulated nodes in the correct location while combining worldwide DBS devices and accessories.
Direct-to-Brain Epilepsy Treatments (SEEG)
Assisting doctors in executing SEEG surgical procedure, a treatment for Epilepsy-related surgeries, by providing more precise detectors of seizures and more suitable solutions.
