Aristotle
Construction and Design
Information
Aristotle is a highly specialised bespoke ventilation computer developed by Air Sentry primarily for use within healthcare. The ventilation design engineer or infection prevention specialist can specify and exact configuration to meet their needs.
A table is included in the pictures above
The system has the potential to monitor air quality across a full health estate.
It can monitor any air parameter requested as long a sensor exists to do so. Design for new sensors averagely takes 12 weeks, including the new boards required.
Aristotle can be used with any ducted air system not limited to low extract, extract, supply, high flow supply, neutral pressure, negative pressure, positive pressure, recirculation and hybrid ventilation approaches.
Sensors already designed for enable Temperature, Delta T, CO2, P1µm, P2.5µm, P4µm & P10µm, N2O, Nx, Nxx, O2, Atm Pressure, Pressure, RPM, Humidity, Radiation (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Neutron), dBA.
The system can control and monitor DC motors, including control feedback
The system can monitor a full range of filters
In its base form it can enable communications for ModBus, BACnet, Ethernet, GPS, Blue Tooth and GSM.
The most exciting aspect, as our data sets improve, will be the ability to alert and alarm using these parameters within our patented approach. In the future Aristotle will be able to monitor airborne disease state and alert for change. This means that asymptomatic transmission risk can be picked up and responded to, preventing seasonal disease outbreaks.
We are working with a major UK university to develop a consistent air sampler so that as a pathogen risk is detected, a quick swab and air sample can enable rapid identification.
