The light treatment is delivered to the infant via a fiberoptic blanket, thus enabling simple, effective contact therapy (the infant is placed directly against the light source). The fiberoptic blanket has been specially designed to obtain a perfectly uniform light flow over the whole blanket. The blue LED light source selected by médipréma supplies luminous flux of >3.3 mW/cm². Two intensity settings are possible (full power or 50%).
