LocaMed Manufactured Trocars Bladed Bladless Optical/Visible Trocars and obturators available in a range of sizes and diameters – plus separately packaged cannulae are available to increase cost effectiveness. ‘Floating’, suspended upper seal with a multi-leaflet design • Enables wide manipulation of instruments without loss of gas, and fine control with minimal interference on the instrument. • Soft and flexible yet still highly durable. • Lubricated multi-leaflet design offers low resistance for smooth introduction and removal of instruments. • Detachable upper seal enables easy removal of specimen and artefacts with minimal ‘pneumo’ loss, and rapid desufflation at the end of the procedure. Ribbed cannula • Ribbed cannula to provide stability and prevent unwanted movement during surgical procedure. Insufflate/desufflate stop cock • 90o rotating gas in/out valve with luer lock connection – simple on/off function. Optical Trocars • Simplified obturator design with inner ring seal to grip and secure scope during insertion – no ‘lock’ to grapple with. • Fine tip reflects tissues along natural fibre lines allowing tissue layers to re-approximate upon trocar removal. • Clear cannula and tip provide good visualisation during trocar entry.
