Due to its large specific surface area, activated carbon has the ability to adsorb a large number of organic substances, gases, contaminants from foods and products of bacterial metabolism. Activated charcoal contributes to reducing flatulence after a meal. The beneficial effect is achieved by taking 1 g (4 capsules) 30 minutes before a meal and the same amount (4 capsules) immediately after a meal.
