"RHENOSCAR® gel" RHENOSCAR® gel is the Gel-type medical silicone for the treatment of various scars, such as old or new hypertrophic scars or keloid scar. RHENOSCAR ® Features Adhesive and transparent dressing for scar care Safe and less irritative medical silicone for sensitive skin used for surgical scars, burns, cesarean sections scars, cosmetic surgery scars, etc. ▶ It uses medical grade silicone that is safe for the skin to minimize irritation to sensitive skin. ▶ Soft, transparent and thin coating for improved skin contact and even application ▶ Tube type designed to adjust the dose by a scar size ▶ Gel type for easy application on curved areas ▶ Preservation of moisture in wounds: Injury to the skin increases water loss and collagen synthesis, which results in a scar. Silicone coating layer keeps the moisture in the wound to control fibroblasts production and reduce collagen synthesis, which softens and flattens a scar. ▶ Protection from bacteria: The air but not through bacteria can pass through the water-resistant coating layer of the silicone. Therefore it can prevent excessive synthesis collagen produced by bacteria. ▶ Control of growth factor expression: TGF-β (tumor growth factor β) stimulates fibroblasts to synthesize collagen and fibroblast. FGF-β Fibroblast growth factor β normalizes collagen synthesis at abnormal scars and increases collagen n lyase. Silicon coating layer controls the expression of such growth factors to balance synthesis and decomposition the fibers.
