The visual scopes can be used to diagnose certain urological diseases and determine the underlying cause behind symptoms. Should a condition (such as kidney stones and bladder stones) present, specialized instruments can be passed through additional channels in the scopes to allow for surgery. In urology, endoscopy is used to examine and treat issues concerning the urinary tract and male reproductive organs.
