Knitted vascular patch with collagen
The vascular patch is made of polyester and coated with bovine collagen.
The patch has a thin wall (<0,4mm), yet it is strong and pliable.
Indications: plastics on any artery or prosthesis where this procedure is indicated.

Indications: suturing soft tissue that could be subject to suture cutting through. In general surgery, it can be used, for example, in suturing parenchymatous organs.
In vascular surgery, it can be used to reinforce anastomosis. In cardiac surgery, CORTEX is indicated as a pad for suturing he left ventricle after resection of an aneurysm, for reinforcing the fragile aortic wall or other large vessels during their acute dissection, or as a reinforcing small pad under individual sutures when stopping bleeding from any site on the heart or large vessels.
