Newster PURA and Ozotherapy,
Sterilisation
Information
Laboratory fluid waste may contain biological fluids, used reagents, solvents, heavy metal traces and insoluble chemicals. These persistent organic compounds have to be treated with a waste management system before discharging them to the sewer and avoid potential toxic effects for environment and living organisms.
Newster PURA and Ozotherapy, are systems for the treatment of different liquid waste streams generated in medical labs.
Newster PURALAB is an integrated system specifically designed for hazardous liquid waste deriving from biomedical labs. Thanks to the Advanced Oxidation Process “AOP” based on a patented combination ozone and hydrogen peroxide, followed by activated carbon filtration, the removal of the biological and chemical risk associated with these liquids is guaranteed and they can be discharged into public sewers or recycled as technical water. The technology, in 2020, was awarded the certificate of excellence by the European Commission (https://www.newstergroup.com/laboratory-fluid-waste).
NEWSTER® OZOTHERAPY technology allows to treat chemical fluid waste produced by biomedical laboratory in order to permit the introduction of the relative liquid component into biological waste water treatment plant “WWTP” or sewage system, with an organic and inorganic pollutants removal greater than 90% and a complete removal of biologic hazards.
Water quality is controlled through pH and Redox probes before being discharged into the sewage system. The process is carried out by eliminating microorganisms from the liquids thus reducing the chemical pollutants concentration. The systems are highly effective in accordance to STAATT Level IV of microbial inactivation. The final result is compliant with the limit values for the discharge into the sewage network.
All Newster products are fit with In-Sight software for a smart predictive monitoring and maintenance system, focused on remote monitoring and self-diagnosis functions of Newster installations.
